Offline hunting apps: what to carry with no signal

An offline hunting app stores everything on the phone, so it works in airplane mode, in a blind or on a mountain with no signal. If an app needs to load content from the internet, it will fail exactly where you hunt.

Test it in airplane mode

Before a trip, switch your phone to airplane mode and open every screen you expect to use.

Battery

Airplane mode also saves battery. A reference app with no network activity barely touches it.

AimVitals

AimVitals works fully offline once installed: 51 species, diagrams, calibers and habitat notes, with no account and no signal.
